The desktop client still checks the signed GitHub Releases manifest. This phase does not change desktop code or the existing update configuration.
The Pages and R2 structure is ready for versioned package URLs. When a regional package exists, replace only its edition URL and signed manifest while keeping GitHub available for recovery and manual verification.
